The Newspapers, 1831–1963
The press record spans 132 years: from the New Bern papers of the year of Hannah's birth, through the small datable traces of her Charlotte life, to the land-sale notices that track her parcels through the twentieth century and the 1963 death notices — in Charlotte and New York — of the granddaughter who carried her name. (The 1899 death, funeral, and probate notices are filed with Hannah's Arc; the 1860 fair premium is there as well.)
